The second repeal of the SPA, despite not being illegal and gaining the support from almost 20 delegates in one day, has been deleted, AGAIN, this time by a different moderator. As one forum poster smartly pointed out, there is no "law" in the WA, except the law of the moderators. It's a sham. I approached the WA as an intellectual exercise - to consider if there was a better way for people to get together and write legislation to the improvement of the public good. It's legislative rules are so narrow that only resolutions which infringe upon national sovereignty are permissible, and repeals cannot be based on an interpretation of the resolution that differs from that of the author, while the moderators have sweeping powers to delete any resolution which they feel violates the rules that they made up. Incorporating the name problems into the legislature is against the rules - and he/she was told this, more than once, if I recall. Finally, with the Casadian Empire's resignation from the WA, and thus from being chairman of the WARD committee for making resolutions, it seems that we are in need of a chairman. Such a person, I believe, OUGHT to serve the best interests of capitalism, and have a strong fundamental understanding of the philosophy behind capitalism and why capitalism is good - something that Casadian Empire, with all due respect, lacked. If the position is open, I'd like to nominate two people: myself, and The Philological Community of Twitcheldom. I've studied the philosophy behind capitalism and am delving into its economics, and Twitcheldom has demonstrated that he/she has at least some knowledge of the reasons why capitalism, as a system, is the best system on a moral and economic level (although, I would posit that the latter is an effect of the former.)

The Allied States of Reed Audio Yes the Hitler had a health food thing (anti smoking and so on) - hence such terms as "health fascist" and "safety Nazi". However, Hitler also loved sweet unhealthy food - which is why his teeth were so bad. So his public rantings and his private conduct were in conflict (including, I am told, on his verbal support for vegetarianism whilst not stopping meat eating himself). So as well as being a murderer of millions Hitler was also a hypocrite - how naughty. There was a time when the private hypocrisy of politicians did not matter so much - because their power to impose their opinions on other people was much less. However, the old world where one could "travel without a passport and settle without a permit" had been dying a long time before Hitler came to power (for example trial by jury had already been abolished in Germany - and the Gestapo had already been set up, both under the Weimar Republic).

The British Labour (British spelling) Party Foreign Sec (Sec of State) Ernest Bevin is supposed to have defined the freedom that had existed in his youth in the following terms - "anyone could covert what wealth they had, much or little, to gold and then get a ship and go anywhere in the world - without asking permission from anyone about any of this".

Again - that world was in decline long before Hitler. He was just the logical conclusion of the path to evil. In different countries the "Road to Serfdom" (in Hayek's words) led to different people (Mussolini, Lenin and so on) but they were just as logical - i.e. that once one had accepted the PRINCIPLES of collectivism there was no solid place to oppse their practice of it from.

However, when one tries to explain any of the above (as a warning not to go on that road) one just gets the following reply "you are comparing ...... [X politician] to Hitler HOW DARE YOU".

Of course that is a classic example of "missing the point" - the "liberals" of the Weimar Republic (and the Imperial German statists before the First World War) were not "like Hitler" - but they were laying the foundations of tyranny (without even knowing it).

6 hours ago The Kingdom of Sseroffa 10000 Islands is a region full of "defenders" who feel it is there job to be the "knight's in shining armor" and save troubled regions from "invaders". They claim they are to protect free regions everywhere from villainy. Instead, they are the real criminals. Instead of liberating regions, they are suppressing them. The way regional control works is by democracy, the inhabitants "vote" with their endorsements. When the "raiders" take over a region, really, they are just electing a new leader to remove the old one. Completely democratic and there is nothing wrong with that. However, then 10000 Islands and TITO swoop in and claim that the "raiders" somehow stole the region and remove the democratically elected leader from power. Instead of removing the tyrants, they are the tyrants. Then they go back to their region, gloat a bit, and claim that they have "defended" yet another region, when all they have done is instituted yet another oppressive regime. No of this is a real problem, as I'm all for people doing whatever they want. However, it is a problem when they become the largest Player Created Region. It's a status symbol, one which they should not receive. They are not a fair, unbiased region like the Capitalist Paradise. They are eviler than the Alliance of Dictators, and I would prefer AoD be #7 than 10KI.

6 hours ago Ok. There's no need for everyone to be all broken up about losing #1 pcr. We grew from 80 something to nearly 900 in less than 5 months. 898 On Dec 23 2009. As far as I know that's a record for any player created region. As a Capitalist region, we are by far the largest themed region. 10kI, Europe and whoever else is close recruit any type of nation. We welcome all but only recruit nations with at least free market economies. That puts us with about an 80% disadvantage in that regard. Imagine golfing with someone with a 60 over handicap. That's where we stand if we're competing. We have nothing to be ashamed of.

The Allied Corporate Empire of Northern Borland I agree with FASTERCAT There has always been an influx and reflux of members within any region, however popular. The introduction of young puppet nations only serves as a stop-gap and ultimately lowers our regions World Census report.

The Allied States of Reed Audio	Yes the Hitler had a health food thing (anti smoking and so on) - hence such terms as "health fascist" and "safety Nazi". However, Hitler also loved sweet unhealthy food - which is why his teeth were so bad. So his public rantings and his private conduct were in conflict (including, I am told, on his verbal support for vegetarianism whilst not stopping meat eating himself). So as well as being a murderer of millions Hitler was also a hypocrite - how naughty. There was a time when the private hypocrisy of politicians did not matter so much - because their power to impose their opinions on other people was much less. However, the old world where one could "travel without a passport and settle without a permit" had been dying a long time before Hitler came to power (for example trial by jury had already been abolished in Germany - and the Gestapo had already been set up, both under the Weimar Republic). The British Labour (British spelling) Party Foreign Sec (Sec of State) Ernest Bevin is supposed to have defined the freedom that had existed in his youth in the following terms - "anyone could covert what wealth they had, much or little, to gold and then get a ship and go anywhere in the world - without asking permission from anyone about any of this". Again - that world was in decline long before Hitler. He was just the logical conclusion of the path to evil. In different countries the "Road to Serfdom" (in Hayek's words) led to different people (Mussolini, Lenin and so on) but they were just as logical - i.e. that once one had accepted the PRINCIPLES of collectivism there was no solid place to oppse their practice of it from. However, when one tries to explain any of the above (as a warning not to go on that road) one just gets the following reply "you are comparing ...... [X politician] to Hitler HOW DARE YOU". Of course that is a classic example of "missing the point" - the "liberals" of the Weimar Republic (and the Imperial German statists before the First World War) were not "like Hitler" - but they were laying the foundations of tyranny (without even knowing it).

They claim they are to protect free regions everywhere from villainy. Instead, they are the real criminals. Instead of liberating regions, they are suppressing them. The way regional control works is by democracy, the inhabitants "vote" with their endorsements. When the "raiders" take over a region, really, they are just electing a new leader to remove the old one. Completely democratic and there is nothing wrong with that. However, then 10000 Islands and TITO swoop in and claim that the "raiders" somehow stole the region and remove the democratically elected leader from power. Instead of removing the tyrants, they are the tyrants. Then they go back to their region, gloat a bit, and claim that they have "defended" yet another region, when all they have done is instituted yet another oppressive regime. No of this is a real problem, as I'm all for people doing whatever they want. However, it is a problem when they become the largest Player Created Region. It's a status symbol, one which they should not receive. They are not a fair, unbiased region like the Capitalist Paradise. They are eviler than the Alliance of Dictators, and I would prefer AoD be #7 than 10KI.
6 hours ago	Ok. There's no need for everyone to be all broken up about losing #1 pcr. We grew from 80 something to nearly 900 in less than 5 months. 898 On Dec 23 2009. As far as I know that's a record for any player created region. As a Capitalist region, we are by far the largest themed region. 10kI, Europe and whoever else is close recruit any type of nation. We welcome all but only recruit nations with at least free market economies. That puts us with about an 80% disadvantage in that regard. Imagine golfing with someone with a 60 over handicap. That's where we stand if we're competing. We have nothing to be ashamed of.
