If your country wants to participate, simply choose your captain, who's responsibility is to pick and register the lineup. For further details about this process, please check our website www.quakequickcup.com The current title holders are from
France, they came on top vs team
Russia, followed by Sweden on the 3rd place. I have a feeling this years NC cup will be something special and I am definitely looking forward to see all the top players back in action. Hope you guys do too. You can also take a look at the hall of fame or read some more info about previous nation cups.
Games-Services, the original company behind the ESWC, filled for bankruptcy several months ago. In the aftermath of this, Stéphane Cosse, the head of DIP Communication and DIP Organisation (An event organiser), has purchased the rights to the ESWC brand, trademark and tournament management system for 50,000 and cyberleagues.fr for 1,500. The ESWC has now unveiled their plans for the summer of 2010 with a new $200,000 dollar e-Sports event taking place in Disneyland Paris from June 30 to July 4, 2010.However, according to SK-gaming Cosse was a lead figure in Adéclik who ran a $50,000 event called ClickArena back in 2003 where in similar circumstances to the CyberXGames the prize money turned out to be a hoax and no team received a penny. Perhaps in light of this the ESWC has made a further announcement:* Counterstrike 1.6 * Counterstrike 1.6 Female * Warcraft III: TFT * Trackmania ESWC * Virtual Tennis * Need For Speed: Shift * Street Fighter 4 * FIFA 2010"in order to prevent more harm and damage to the ESWC image and to maintain coherent the ESWC project and spirit, DIP-Organisation is studying the possibilities to found a way to compensate the last ESWC champions."SourceOfficial announcementThe AGP has begun it's player legislation process. We are starting with the European Duel representation. AGP player representatives will be elected by vote of official AGP members (free members and Pro members) in that region. Each member has volunteered for this position. The vote will be held for two weeks, with a final tally taken on the 24th of November. We will allow a one week grace period for new potential candidates. Contact us via IRC listed below if you would like to be part of this election. In the event of new candidates, AGP Members that have already voted can change their vote only once. All members in Europe, please vote by that time. Next week we will start the North American Duel Branch regional representation.Details:VotingPlayer Representation#agptourFacebook, TwitterMagnus "fox" Olsson

Dreamhack QL & QW Seeds+Groups released!59 comments( Major News: Q1 QL)blaze @ 22:07 GMT, 23 November 2009 -When Dreamhack Winter 2009 is just days away the seeds have finally been made and released for both Quake Live and Quake World. Unfortunately a few players dropped out of the tournament. PURRI and bodzo couldn't make it of various reasons, time and money being the major ones. They were replaced by the players who were next in line: the former Dreamhack Quake admins Dronar and SobriuS. ZeroQl had troubles getting a visa and was replaced by the runner up in the Serbian QL Qualifier:rmd! Åke Vader and lakso couldn't make it to the Quake World tournament either. Åke Vader because of work and lakso because of school. Both of them were replaced by the players next in line: vo1ce and snapcase.

Quake Live RulesQuake World Rules, No source!Interview with Jarod Reisin of the AGP7 comments( Major News: Gaming)@ 21:56 GMT, 23 November 2009 -Earlier today The Association of Gaming Professionals announced that the upcoming Dreamhack event would be AGP sanctioned. With this announcement and other news surrounding the AGP QuakeLiveTV's podcast The QuadCast would like to welcome on Jarod Reisin of the AGPTour. Be sure not to miss the show and live interview beginning at 01:30 GMT, 24 November 2009. Jarod may also field questions from IRC so be sure to stop by #ql.tv on gamesurge or quakenet.Description from breacH: Here we go again. Here is my 4th Quake 3 defrag movie. This movie is showing 34 single vq3 tricks from breacH and Dem0oo0N in the most common defrag freestyle maps, or some famous deathmatch maps. This work can be presented as the finisher of our play-time as defrag freestylers. We have put our best stuff in this movie. And this is probably our last appearance in this game mod. Nowadays we see a lot of movies containing timescaled or scripted stuff. I want you to know that all footage in this movie has been done with hands and without the help of any cheats or such things. Thanks forward beeing understanding this for a better joy while watching. I hope you will enjoy this production! The movie is available in 2 versions: High quality (1680*1050 at 30fps, xvid 6555 kbps) and Medium quality (1280*800 at 30 fps, xvid 4561 kbps).own-age.com

Association of Gaming Professionals recently held a vote with its Pro Members on whether Dreamhack should be approved or not for AGP Sanctioning. The vote was based on the very late details released of the tournament like prizemoney, if it is to be LAN or server based (Quake Live), and monitors and computers used. All these things are factored into decision making of if a LAN tournament is to be AGP Sanctioned or not because it is not fair to those players traveling to book the travel details for such a tournament early only to find out the prize money is very low or doesnt exist, instead giving hardware, for an example. Dreamhack has a stellar record of paying prize money on time and holding very well ran tournaments that are consistent, which plays an important role in this vote as well. The vote required a majority vote and was elected to be AGP Sanctioned. The point breakdown is listed below. Usually the penalty in AGP Ranking points for such a late detail release would put this tournament at 500 points for 1st. However, because it is a 32 player, non invite tournament, and that most North American players are attending, it will be treated at 1000. Look for their streaming schedule very soon.Tomorrow the AGP will be releasing details on the election for European player representation.Links:AGPTour#agptourFacebookTwitter1 - 1000 2- 600 3/4 - 360 5/8 - 180 9/16 - 90 17/32 - 451. prox_pl - 10 points 2. bodzo - 8 points 3. Good friend and editor Domino made this for me, and I hope you guys are pleased with the results! I'm not the greatest defragger out there, none of these are world records, but I'm pleased with these runs. Right now, all I have is the youtube stream and a Filefront link, but hopefully I can get another mirror up soon.

Around five months agoFragster.de introcuded a download base, with demos and maps from games like Quake, Counter-Strike, Warcraft, DotA and CS: Source. From then the base kept growing and so did the Quake area. The Quake Live section includes over 250 demos from almost every game mode. Especially during the last days we've added a lot of new demos from the latest tournaments and matches. Do you prefer to watch some "pros" playing a Duel? Or are you more the fan of Team Deathmatch? ESL Major Series, IEM Europe Qualification Cups, Zotac-Cup...We got everything you want.

The infamous 1997 Red Annihilation tournament: John Carmack, legendary id Software Programmer, gives his 328 GTS Cabriolet to the winner of this tournament. The tournament was held on Mpaths networks with over 2000 participants. The top 16 were flown to Atlanta, Georgia for the final tournament at the World Congress Center during E3 of that year. The final: Tom "Entropy" Kizmey vs Dennis "Thresh" Fong The map: E1M2: Castle of the Damned. Part 1. Presented here by the #agptourScheduled: 20:15 GMT, 17 November 2009 to 21:45 GMT, 17 November 2009As I'm playing for derailed instead of k1ck in the EMS I am able to bring you guys this great match-up in week 2 of the EMS5 TDM:K1ck eSports vsThe Lineups:LowLandLions
K1ck eSports: eden, abso, GaRpY, zsx LowLandLions: draven, forever, dem0n, Q50, raxStreamlevelupyourgame.netEMS5 QL#lvl^This game is going to literally come down to the amount of TDM both teams have played in the last month or so, with both teams being almost as inactive as each other in Team Death Match, I am going to look deeper into the factors that will effect this games outcome as best I can.. The most important point to mention is that both teams have strong hit scan aimers. In order to keep up with these guys (and myself :D), you are going to have to be hitting no less than 40% machine gun (and that's before you actually pick up a weapon, so probably 25% of your time). A tip for you new quake players would be to play a couple of hours FFA a day, just running around with a machine gun to get to this sort of standard! In this match-up, I would put money on k1ck just slightly over edging the Lions when it comes to individual death-matching ability. draven and rax would be more than capable to hold their own but I feel that the other 3 Lions will struggle against abso, zsx and eden. Players such as GaRpY from the k1ck side and dem0n from the Lions are putting more hours into quake, especially duel, and they could prove to be strong individuals, but I personally (in no disrespect) do not yet believe they are at the top of their potential games. Thus map aim will be especially important and as such, the Lions are going to have to outsmart them tactically in order to make full use of the easy shots (such as pixel point rails, getting to quad early to hit the first rocket etc to prevent over-cessing and just well, death!) My prediction is that DM6, DM7 & DM14 will be played as both teams have some confident players from a Quake 3 background (at one point or another), and judging by QL activeness, new maps to the competitive scene such as DM20 & CA2 will not have at all been considered, or played enough by either side.Final Score: K1ck: 2 1 :LLLdansen,
