My first introduction to trade online was as a computer programmer. I had a broker who had a trading system on his desktop. He led me to believe that his trading system gave him real time indicators to know when to buy and sell. I figured that if his programmer could create trading software, so could I.
So I bought a book of 750 pages of mathematical formulas. I coded each one, looking for "indicators" that worked in different Market conditions. I backtested and backtested. But after months of backtesting, I realized there was far more to online trade than just technical analysis trading software. I needed to know what the insiders knew, understand their secrets. During the last 4 days my husband and I re- attended the Shadowtraders four day seminar .Im emphasizing the re-attended because I would like for the whole world to know that we did not pay a single dime for the privilege of re-attending !!! ShadowTraders is the most affordable, educational and information filled program I have ever had the pleasure of learning. I have repeated the 4 Day event and I have to say, that each time I sit through it, I learn something more. I need to "see" what's going on and the 4 Day gives me plenty of what I need. Everyone is so anxious to help, I truly feel that you care whether or not I learn. I've been very nervous to "pull the trigger" but after this weekend I am now very anxious to try what I learned. This was really inspiring. I feel like I can really do this. Of course, I am still right in the middle of all the confusion of clearing up all the things I DON'T know but with persistence I really feel that this is beyond workable. I am very excited about simulating the trades and getting up to 85% or better. This makes up for all my losses as a Forex trader. But now I can even make my money back from them in the future!! Thanks, first. You guys, are great instructors and traders!!! The trades i was trading for the period march to may 2010 lost like $3300! It wasn't that bad, but still...Than i had to start my work on Nantucket island for the summer season :) But now it's the time for me to do only trading and before this course i did had an idea, but not even close to what i know now. Barbara is absolute straight through 9 hours, 10 hours, 11 hours until you reach your point no going back :) This is by far the greatest teacher i have had!!! You are so right: fundamentals are the most important thing . Davia, great trading you always have something to teach us ! Plus i like the French accent :) And now Melanie Haha, well i think i watched your videos probably 4-5 times and every time i learned something new! Monday evening August 23, 2010 7:30PM EST Well after taking the course, I feel inspired and completely able to get my arms around the subject. Prior to attending the course I have listened to my partner bang on about the complexity of trading, to a point that I doubted my own intellectual ability to grasp any of it. I had been looking at some of his books etc and concluded yes it is very broad subject fully of 'the market should behaviour like this but not in all cases'. However, I felt that somewhere in all of this material what was missing was clear approachable guidelines, of be observant work with fundamentals check and articulate your thinking, the rationale and then do it. I now feel that I have been given clear information a set of tools and it is up to me to develop from this the skills and confidence to trade. I am truly thrilled and excited and want to do it all now, but no I am going to carefully go through all the materials make a list make a plan and just get on with it. More importantly I look forward to working with shadow traders as my skill set develops.
