"The BFI (British Film Institute) promotes understanding and appreciation of Britain's rich film and television heritage and culture. Established in 1933, the BFI runs a range of activities and services." Researchers' guides and more. The BFI's National Library 16+ guides give overviews of film topics and include extensive bibliographies. For example, Shakespeare and TV Sci-Fi (both in PDF).
