The Lab provides the following conservation treatments for library materials:

is responsible for the physical care of the Morgan Libraries' print collection, providing various treatments for damaged library materials and preventative maintenance of new items susceptible to damage. Responsibilities also include: basic conservation treatments and re-housing of Archive and Special Collection materials; preparing damaged materials from the circulating collection for commercial re-binding and condition assessments for digital projects. The Preservation staff consults with campus and community patrons regarding preservation issues for personal documents, providing referrals and outside resource information for conservation needs.
