Blue Music Group is a label specialized in jazz, classical and world music. Based at the East Coast of the United States, we represent the music scene of today and tomorrow by releasing music of wide appeal and high artistic value.

Music formats and the environment
With global warming being a serious threat to our existence on earth, Blue Music Group now sells CDDL, a "CD Download" without the polycarbonate plastic. You download the entire album to your computer or portable device, and have a choice of burning the music on a CDR, or converting it to any other format, such as MP3. You will no longer need to compromise on quality when buying a download. We also offer mp3 downloads at a heavily reduced price. Downloads help the environment by saving energy, air and water pollution. They reduce greenhouse gas emissions, since every physical CD needs to be shipped multiple times before reaching the listener. Join us in this important mission.
If you are a jazz, classical or world music artist and would like to be considered by Blue Music Group, please read this:
- We only consider music which has never been released in any download format. You need to own all rights to the master recording.
- If you have released a physical CD, that's fine, but if your music is for sale on iTunes or Amazon, we can't consider that particular album by you.
- We only consider high quality recordings, and that means high quality in music, production and sound quality. We like well-recorded live recordings but don't even listen to songs made on a mini disc or mp3-recorder in the neighborhood bar.
- If you think you can play "all styles", we're not for you.
- We don't sign cover bands or sound-alikes. So no matter how well you sing like someone else, we can't consider you. Tribute projects are okay as long as you don't do exactly what someone else has done in the past.
If all these points sound good to you, send an email to artists(&)bluemusicgroup.com. Write the following:
- Subject: Your name and instrument, such as "Juan Sanchez – guitar"
- Attachments: Three full songs of the recording you would like to have released. Use mp3 or m4a (AAC) format.
- Message: Tell us about yourself, and your music. Tell your own story. We don't care if you haven't played at big venues or with what famous artist. We care even less about those nice quotes (and fancy exclamations taken out of context) you may have from the media. However, do write what type of projects you're involved in, and would like to be involved in the near future. How would you like to develop your music in the upcoming years? While we don't "produce" or "develop" artists, these things will give an idea about your vision as a musician.
Blue Music Group licenses music for use in a variety of media forms, such as feature films, television, video games, movie trailers, custom DVDs, ringtones, compilation CD's, advertising commercials, websites and public events. Please contact us with your licensing request or inquiry.

Registration
Our website collects information from you when you register with us as part of your participation in our newsletter or store. As part of a customer’s registration, we may request the following personal information: email address, password, first and last name, birth date and U.S. state or foreign country of residence. We do not collect demographic or profile data. If you choose to buy any of our products, we will collect the following additional personal information in order to process your transaction: credit card number and billing address. Mailing list and other communications from us
Our registered users may receive newsletters or other email communications from us and we may also offer other users the opportunity to sign up to receive such information. Please note that in order to keep our registered users informed about the operation of our services, we may also send emails and announcements that are needed for the proper functioning and administration of our sites and services. Additionally, we have features allowing you to submit information to us (such as when contacting us with a question or feedback). Communications with Friends
Blue Music Group offers features allowing the customer to send information to others, such as through a "Tell A Friend" email or a link to social networks. For example, a customer might submit his/her friend’s name and email address if you send a message. Blue Music Group does not collect any data from the usage of these features.
With whom your information is shared
We use the information collected from a customer to allow him/her to participate in the website activities for which the information is collected. We sometimes use the information collected to communicate with customers, such as to notify customers when we make changes to our subscriber agreements, to fulfill a request by a customer for a newsletter, or to contact the customer about his/her account with us. From time to time, we may also use this information to offer our products, programs, or services to our customers. On each email a customer receives, he/she is given the opportunity to unsubscribe. If a customer requests to be unsubscribed, his/her email address will be permanently removed from the mailing list.
