There is a view that removing all 15-year-old boys from this earth would not only help global warming but also our cultural horizon.
Supporters of this view will then be heartened to hear the story reported by the Chicago Tribune of a 15-year-old boy who suffered a serious trauma. His parents took away his Xbox.
The boy, a resident of Buffalo Grove, Ill., which sounds like the sort of place where discipline is imparted along traditional lines, decided to express his feelings and exert his identity. He called 911 in order to ask the police whether his parents were, indeed, within their rights to remove his gaming equipment from his sensitive little fingers.

Computerworld is reporting that the forthcoming version of Firefox 3.6 will include
a feature which disables the ability for other applications to "sneakily" install add-ons without the users knowledge. One can assume this is in response to Microsoft's sneaky move which installed an add-on without notifying users at all - and exposed users to malware. In an email to Computerworld, Johnathan Nightingale, manager of the Firefox front-end development team said "We're doing this for stability and user control, Dropping raw components in this way was never an officially supported way of doing things, which means it lacks things like a way to specify compatibility. When a new version of Firefox comes out that these components aren't compatible with, the result can be a real pain for our shared users."

IBM has indicated that it will take on the likes of Google, Microsoft and Amazon
as it launches its 'Smart Analytics Cloud'.
The cloud computing service from one of the industry's most traditional and powerful companies will offer companies online storage and tools – in the hope of clawing back market share.
The likes of Microsoft with Azure, Amazon with its Elastic Compute Cloud, Salesforce and Google are already offering services to businesses in an industry that Gartner has suggested will be worth $3.4 billion (c£2bn) this year.
Consumer plus
This competition of the business market will have a major impact in the consumer markets – with companies able to offer quickly expandable internet services for all, and cloud computing all set to revolutionise the computer world.
Interestingly, IBM is also set to launch its internal 'Blue Insight' business analytics cloud which will be available to its staff across the world.
Boasting a petabyte of storage (1,000TB), Blue Insight will take data from IBM's global business and help its salespeople and developers access and analyse the data.
