Fast and accurate
avast! has again proven its speed and accuracy in the latest Virus Bulletin test, taking home another VB100 award. avast! Professional Edition (version 4.8) had the fastest scanning speed of all the top 10 scoring products in Virus Bulletin's detection test.

Avast tops AV Comparatives test
Avast topped the latest AV Comparatives analysis of antivirus programs with a mix of speed and accuracy. Avast had the fastest scan time of the 16 tested programs. In addition to speed, Avast was the only program out of the 16 tested to get a top five finish for both malware detection and low numbers of false positives. Read more...

We are moving, update
Tonight between September 16th (10:00pm CET) and September 17th 2009 (6:00a.m CET) we moving infrastructure. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience.
Prague, Czech Republic – ALWIL Software is moving to new offices. Monday, September 14th was the first day for staff to work in the new space. We are now in the process of moving our computing infrastructure to the new location. Our system for delivering virus updates is located elsewhere and is not impacted by the move. Telephone numbers remain unchanged, but there could be sporadic outages of phone and internet connectivity so please bear with us. We expect the move to be completed by end week.
