Creative Networks welcomes David Lowe to share his expertise and tips on making music for Television, Radio and Film. His work includes all the current themes for BBC News, in addition to other British television programmes including The One Show, Panorama and Wildlife on One. For radio, he was responsible for the current identity of the BBC World Service.
David released his debut album Dreamcatcher during 1997 and achieved a Top 3 UK hit courtesy of his single 'Would You ?'. He has performed at several WOMAD festivals worldwide and was commissioned to provide a music soundscape for The Tropical Biome at the Eden Project (WOMAD Reading 2005).
During 2006, he was commissioned to write the music for the BAFTA Film and Television Awards and for the BBC's coverage of the Winter Olympics.

The Electric Cinema in Birmingham is the oldest working cinema in the UK. Built in 1909 the cinema has gone through many incarnations and name changes. Although Birmingham once had over 100 cinemas, amazingly The Electric remains as the only independent cinema left in the city today. The building is now home to luxury sofa seating, waiter service and a full bar.

Whether you want to shoot at a location in London and need to find out how to get permission, or you need to know what areas unions like BECTU and PACT cover, Industry Contacts is the one day module that will answer all these questions and more. It will give you the grounding on all the industry bodies in the UK.
Part of the FIRST AND ONLY accredited Production Co-ordinator course from a Skillset Media Academy and endorsed by the Production Managers Association. This module is part of the Production Co-ordinators Programme from FDMX. It is accredited by the University of Hertfordshire. Its aim is to allow runners, new entrants, production secretaries and production assistants to develop their skills into a Production Co-ordinator role for film and/or for television drama.
Aims of the Module - To give candidates a clear understanding of the remit of regional and national agencies in the UK, government bodies, trade unions and general industry organisations regularly consulted or used in production. You will learn about the remit of regional and national agencies, government bodies and trade unions.
