This website, available in English and German, is the Virtual library of musicology, a project funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) that begn life in 2005. The aim of the project was to create a single point of entry to access mostly German websites, databases and digitised material that is related to musicology. A number of sources are available, including Bibliographie des Musikschrifttums Online (Bibliography of Music Literature Online), the musicology section of the Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (Digital Journal Library, an electronic journals service that has a scientific emphasis) and resources that are available via the Internet. The searchable database that the Virtual library of musicology provides also gives access to resources related to scholarly musicological communication, conference reports and details of dissertations that have been produced at German universities. Formalised mathematics involves definitions and proofs being written in a computer language so that they can be formally verified by a machine. This project uses the Isabelle/Isar theorem prover, developed at the University of Cambridge (Larry Paulson) and the Technische Universitat Munchen (Tobias Nipkow), as the language and proof checker. Isabelle is a generic theorem prover that supports several logical frameworks. IsarMathLib uses the Zermelo-Fraenkel (ZF) logic which implements ZF (untyped) set theory. The current release (June 2009) "contains over 1500 facts and 130 definitions in algebra (groups, rings and fields), general topology and other areas of mathematics. This major biennial international conference was held in English at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The Web page gives free access to the extensive four-day conference programme by day, and in total offers over 370 full-text papers as PDF files. A report of a randomised controlled trial (RCT) into the treatment of constipation with laxatives for older adults. The research aimed to investigate the clinical and cost effectiveness of administering certain laxative medication in differing combinations and included a qualitative study where participants, who were people with chronic constipation over the age of 55 taken from the lists of GP practices, were interviewed about their experience of managing their condition.
