Earlier tonight, I had a great dinner get-together with Jason, Joel, and Brandon at Mellow Mushroom out at the "Providence" place. They decided to do that tonight to mix things up some, and it was actually very nice to have a lot of conversation, which we normally don't have time for when we watch a movie. We stood around for at least half an hour outside after we were done and talked. The conversation was great and that kind of interaction was very welcome tonight! It was my second trip to Mellow Mushroom and my impressions are very similar to the first visit. It's a bit too noisy and at times, it's difficult to have a conversation over the noise. The place has acoustic properties that reflect all the noise in the room around instead of breaking it up and absorbing it. Tonight, they had someone singing live and in the room we were in, it was piped in through the sound system and in some of his songs, the words were unintelligible and it was a loud droning noise that was annoying. The food was excellent. Tonight, I tried the "Mighty Meaty" 10 inch pizza (I'd tried the 10 inch "House Special" last time). The service was good. As I noted on the first visit, the restroom is inadequate. There are no paper towels on which to dry hands or wipe your face - just an annoyingly loud dryer thing. I've heard jet engines quieter than that. A restaurant of that caliber not having paper towels is an embarrassment, and there is only one urinal and one stall in the restroom. Want to blow your nose or get toilet paper to wipe your hands? There's probably someone in the stall. People were having to wait to use one or the other.

I do believe I'll be posting more often. I've been hanging in FBland for a while, but... I just can't get the stories across the way I want to.
You'll be seeing more of me in the very near future.
