Day Hike at Wallace State ParkSeptember 19 - 11am We'll meet at the shelter house at 11 am to hike for about two hours on a rolling grass / dirt/ wood chip trail. Hiking boots are suggested and a walking stick is helpful. The trail covers a variety of scenery including upland, lowland, old fields, streams and forest. Bug spray is always a good idea. Carpool: Hwy 152 and I -35; west to McDonald's parking lot by 10:20 am. Directions to the park: Take I-35 north to the Wallace State Park exit #48. Turn right on Hwy 69 and left on 121. Weekday Hike at Parkville Nature SanctuarySeptember 24 - 10am On Thursday, Kathy will lead a hike at the Parkville Nature Sanctuary in Parkville, Missouri. Waterfalls, woods, wetlands and wildlife! The hike involves a fairly steep climb and you can expect to hike about an hour and a half on natural trails. Boots are recommended. Directions: Take Hwy 9 north of the river to Parkville.
