Morning Hike in Lee's SummitSeptember 6 - 9:30am Join us for a nice morning hike of about 4 miles at the James A. Reed Wildlife Area in Lee's Summit. This is perhaps the best natural wildlife area in the metro. The hike will start at 9:30 am. We will use the grassy trails - all are regularly mowed so there will be little or no tallgrass that we hike through, and all flat (no hills). Bring water. Directions - Use Hwy 50 East that heads towards Lee's Summit, and you go past the Hwy 291 overpass. The next exit (Todd George/Ransom Rd) is the one to exit at. Then head south a little over a mile on that road (Ransom) and you will see the park sign on the right where you turn left (east) into the park. We will meet at the Visitors Center just down the road past Honker Pond.
