I'll coordinate two Walk and Talk programs sponsored by the Kansas City Museum. Let's meet prior to 1 PM at the Museum Visitor Center to take a nature walk along Cliff Drive and learn about its unique geological features from Matt Christopher, Science City Educator. This will last an hour and we can hike more along Cliff Drive (Car Free Weekend) for another hour if we wish. Afterward we'll grab an early bite to eat at a City Market restaurant. I will need a head count for the museum and for those who wish to join us at the restaurant. Please RSVP by July 2. Cost is $5 per person and a bottle of water is included. On the second Walk and Talk, we will explore historic Scarritt Point and learn about early settlement and development along Missouri's only scenic urban byway. Led by Mike Bushnell, author, Historic Postcards from Old Kansas City. The museum would like a head count for this outing, so please RSVP. Cost is $5 per person and a bottle of water is included.
