October 28. Been doing a lot of driving. Today I made leaf runs to two different places and got 19 big garbage bags full of maple leaves to use for mulch and help the stick piles break down faster. And now that I've read the article about MovNat, I understand aggressive drivers. If you're driving a vehicle, heavy acceleration and braking wears it out faster, costs you more gas money, and contributes to the looming climate catastrophe. But if you're on foot, heavy acceleration and braking is really good for you! This fits with something else I've read: that aggressive driving is related to testosterone levels. So aggressive drivers are actually the opposite of aggressive -- they're asleep! Subconsciously they believe they're running, and that belief bypasses their conscious mind and goes straight to their behavior. If they were awake, they would drive cautiously and play sports.
