Hey /t/,So, I'm not usually on this board. A friend of mine introduced me to pirating, uTorrent, Piratebay and the like. So I got to downloading. I started with Mafia II for the 360. Well, about a day after I recieved a warning from my ISP, who is Cox. I'm not sure if anyone has them, as I think they're a locally owned company. They warned me about doing what I was doing and said they may even have to cutoff internet. I want to keep downloading but I don't want any legal trouble, what can I do? I read up on VPN's and seedboxes but they cost money, which I don't exactly want to spend. Will they actually do anything? What can I do that's free and will deter them?

If it is not then your identity, and the identity of the data will be logged for eventual and inevitable discovery on your computer and computers elsewhere that you have no control over. That's why it's imperative we all get together and find some good programmers to help facilitate this new torrent client cause if we don't start now we are going to lose the best thing going for us and won't have a way to combat it. If you are looking to decrypt and encrypt just the data itself and send through torrent clients this way, that would still work, but you'd have to create a whole new torrent file, upload it to a site that has trackers (public/private), in order to make it work. However, if memory serves, there was a host server that you could log into with an anonymous user name a while back on a client program called WinMX where you didn't require torrent files or tracking. I think it would be great to incorporate such programming to eliminate all forms of tracking and tracing through the torrent client itself. Do this, and you will make the world a better place for everyone, not just greedy politicians.

there is another option...slow the fuck down. dont be so hyper-active about it. an ISP sees a normal IP that does little more than facebook games turn around and move in and/or out several gigs of data they throw a flag...there biggest concern isnt torrenting, but rather you sub leasing your internet connection to others.that being said...normalize and flatten out your torrenting and/or data use... use the little at a time approach instead of the i want 500 movies and i want them yesterday approach.
