- 2013 - 02.Jan Members of the technical committee visited the SHARP hospital repeater site and were able to get the repeater back on the air. A new power supply was installed; deviation, frequency and power all checked out good. The SANDRA board has determined that the cost of the autopatch phone line and the level of service it provides can no longer be justified. Autopatch service on 147.885 will no longer be available. - 2012 - 06.Dec The SANDRA Christmas party was attended by more than 70 members and guests. Three dual-band handheld radios were given away in addition to a wide assortment of other goodies. Lots of food, lots of friends, lots of fun for everyone. Thank you to our meeting chairman, SANDRA volunteers and the FILAMARS club for their wonderful help with the party!

04.Apr The club membership roster has been updated. Expired memberships and soon to expire (current month) memberships are highlighted for your convenience. 23.Mar SDG&E is planning another power outage on Otay. Outage will occur Tuesday, April 3rd, beginning at about 07:00 AM and lasting up to 96 hours (weather permitting).
During the power outage, you are welcome to use the Lyons Peak repeater on 146.265 (+) with the same CTCSS (PL) tone as all the other SANDRA repeaters: 107.2
Also consider the Sharp Hospital repeater on 147.885 (-) for in and around town.
This should be the last such planned power outage. SDG&E is replacing all the wooden power poles with metal poles. The purpose for this is to (hopefully) keep power to the hill during fires as the metal poles don't burn as well as the wooden poles
