Alan B - 10/10/2009:My wife and I have just booked eight nights in London for mid-May, to see the sights, with an emphasis on some of the museums. We will stay at a hotel up the street from Victoria Station. Might you care to share any of your current favorite restaurant choices for the capital?Hi Alan, I should pass on this one as I never eat out in London 'nor go near the place if I can help it! Even so, the city vies with New York and Paris for the best 'eating' capital in the world, so it must be good! I eat out once a year in London, so in recent memory these are my picks: Quaglino's in Bury Street, Simpsons in The Strand, Gaucho's in Piccadilly Circus, Bibendum (a Terence Conran icon) in Fulham Road, Chutney Mary (Indian restaurant next to Chelsea soccer club), Patara (Thai restaurant opposite Harrods), or Rules - a very British place in Covent Garden. Bon appetit! GW
