  What can libraries do to help young people in recessionary times?
  
  Record numbers of young people are now NEETs: Not in Education, Employment or Training, with one in five young people now jobless. As the recession continues libraries must urgently address the needs of this disadvantaged group.
  CILIP’s second NEETs Executive Briefing will seek to stimulate a culture change to enable all young people and to change preconceptions.
  
  The Briefing takes place at CILIP on 27 November. Full details of the programme and speakers can be found at www.cilip.org.uk/neets09
